NEET application form is the stepping stone for candidates toward their dream medical college. Before filling out the NEET application form, candidates need to ensure that they fulfill the prescribed eligibility criteria by NTA. Candidates are advised to be extra careful while filling out the application form. The NEET 2023 application form must be completed in two steps.
Step 1: Candidates must fill up all of their details correctly in the first stage of the NEET application form 2023.
Step 2: Candidates are allowed to modify the information they’ve filled in the NEET application form in this step.
NEET 2023 Application Process
NEET 2023 application process is completely online and is divided into five different steps.

NTA NEET 2023 registration window has been opened by NTA on 6th March 2023. The last date of registration is 6th April 2023 till 9 PM IST.

NEET 2023 Application Process - Important Points to Remember
Here we present a few key points to keep in mind while filling out the NEET 2023 registration form:
- Each applicant must submit only one NEET application form. Multiple submissions will lead to rejection.
- The exam medium/ language must be carefully chosen from a selection of 13 languages. There will be no later changes to the NEET 2023 language medium.
- Late registrations will not be accepted, in any case.
- Before completing the NEET 2023 application form, make sure you have all of your documents and information ready.
- NEET 2023 registration form can only be submitted on its official website www.neet.nta.nic.in
- PwD candidates must fill the relevant field in NEET online application form.
- Candidates need to preserve the application confirmation page for future use.
NEET 2023 Application Process - Documents Required
Before filling out the application form, candidates are advised to keep all the required details and documents ready to complete the application process hassle-free.
Details required for NEET 2022 Registration
- A valid mobile number and email address
- Class 12th and 10th details (Roll number, marks, board, certificate, subjects, year of passing, school and other details)
- Aadhaar Number
- Valid ID Proof
For Indian nationals - Aadhaar, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport Number, or Driving License.
For NRI/ OCI/ PIO candidates - Passport, Embassy Certificate/ Citizenship Certificate
For Foreign Nationals- Passport, Embassy Certificate/ Citizenship Certificate
- Bank account/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI details for fee payment
- Current and Permanent Address Proof - AADHAAR Card, Passport, Voter ID card, Domicile Certificate, etc.
Documents to be uploaded for NEET 2022 Registration
While filling out the NEET 2022 application form, candidates need to scan copies of the following documents:
- Latest Passport size Photograph
- Post Card size photograph
- Signature
- Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions
- Class 10 passed certificate
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.)
- PwBD certificate
- Citizenship Certificate/ Embassy Certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship certificate
- Current and Permanent Address Proof
Documents Required by NRI/ Foreign Candidates
NRI/ Foreign Candidates need the following documents as well while filling the NEET 2022 application form:
- Birth Certificate

NEET 2023 Application Process - Steps
Follow the given steps to fill out the NEET 2023 application form:
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the NEET official website www.neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ link
- Read all the instructions carefully and then click on ‘Apply Online.
- Next enter your personal details like name, parent’s name, DOB, nationality, category, gender, etc.
- Upon completion, click on the submit button.
- Your NEET 2023 registration will be completed and your login credentials will be generated.
- Save your login credential and move on to the next step to fill out the NEET Application Form.
Step 2: Fill out the Online Application Form
- Click on the “Click here to log in” option
- Now log in using the login credentials
- Then fill out the NEET 2023 Application Form
- Details like Personal details, Place of birth, Academic details of 10th, 11th & 12th, Permanent address, Correspondence address, Parents' details, and Security Pin to be entered here.
- Candidates also need to fill the exam medium and choose the examination centres, filled in decreasing order of preference
- The details filled in the registration form will be pre-filled and cannot be changed.
- Aspirants must carefully review and fill in all of the details because once the application form for NEET 2023 is submitted, it cannot be modified.
- After completion, click on "Yes, please do" on the confirmation page to submit the application form.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
- Go to the “Upload Recent Documents” link
- Here candidates need to upload all the required documents in the specified formats.
- Upload scanned copies of signature, photograph, thumb impression, category certificate, mark sheet, etc.
- Upon completion, click on the “next” button.
Step 4: Payment of Application Fees
After filling out the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee in online mode only. Candidates can use their debit card, the UPI app, internet banking, a credit card, or an e-wallet to pay the NEET 2023 application fee.

Step 5: Submit and Download the Confirmation Page
- After successful payment, complete the application process by accepting the declaration and clicking on the “submit” button.
- If the status is shown as 'Confirmed,' it signifies that the NEET 2023 application form has been approved by the conducting authority.
- Finally, download the NEET 2023 Application Form as well as the confirmation page and print it for future reference.
How to Reset/ Retrieve your NEET 2023 Login Password?
Candidates are advised to save their NEET 2023 login credentials but in case you forget to save them, there are two ways to reset/ retrieve your NEET 2023 Login Password - via security question or OTP. Follow the below steps to reset your NEET 2023 Login Password…
- Go to the official site www.neet.nta.nic.in
- Select the "Reset password for NEET 2023" option.
- Now enter your Name, DOB & NEET 2023 Application Number
- Select one option from the offered two: Through a security question or an OTP.
- Proceed with the chosen option to reset/retrieve your password.
Once done, save your password for future reference
NEET 2023 Application Process - Correction Window
After filling out the NEET application form, NTA opens a correction window only for the registered candidates to edit the details or errors in their application form. Aspirants can use the NEET application form correction window to alter the inaccurate details or mistakes made in the NEET 2023 application form. Follow the given instructions to make changes in the NEET application form:
- Go to the official site www.neet.nta.nic.in
- Login using your login credentials.
- Click on the NEET application form correction 2023 option.
- Your application form will be opened, and you will be able to edit any required fields.
- Click Preview and enter the OTP that was sent to the registered mobile number.
- Submit the application form with the correct details and save the form correction receipt.
How to correct the scanned documents discrepancy?
As mentioned above, the NTA has specified the guidelines for scanned documents to be uploaded on the NEET 2023 application form. Failing in adherence to it may result in application rejection. Follow the steps below to resolve any picture discrepancies in the NEET 2023 application form.
- Scan your image or documents again and compress them to attain the specified size and format.
- Go to the official site www.neet.nta.nic.in and log in using your login credentials.
- The option to upload scanned documents will appear, upload the required documents.
- Verify the file once before submitting it.
- Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and submit.
- After final submission, the correction form will appear.
- Download and save the form correction form.
NEET 2023 confirmation page, login credentials, and correction form should be preserved by the candidates till the time of admission.
